Building on the success of the Hertfordshire Biker magazine, we are putting on the Bikers In Paradise Show on April 26, in conjunction with the Herts Air Ambulance and Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne. This will be a show for all types of bikers, from scooters to cruisers, classic and sports bikes. As well as the usual variety of biker-related retail, agency and club marquees and stalls, we are expecting biking and non-biking celebrity guests, displays of classic bikes, live music and a bike gear fashion show?.plus much more!

Celebrity guests include TV personalities and stars of the track and speedway, past and present.

Entrance to the show also includes access to the zoo, with a wide range of animals including an outstanding collection of big cats, the children's adventure world, as well as the other on-site attractions such as the UK Speedway Museum.

It will be great for Hertfordshire to have a major bike show, and we have had a lot of support from businesses and clubs. It will be a non-profit making event with all proceeds going to the Air Ambulance and the Wildlife Heritage Foundation. Both these charities are in constant need of funds to continue their work. For example, the Herts Air Ambulance Appeal needs to raise ?80,000 every month to keep the service running!

We have the capacity for about 7000 people on the day but are hoping for about 2-3000 in the first year.

We are giving all interested clubs a free pitch at the show, with a couple of free tickets to man it. If your club would like a pitch, you will need to call me ASAP so that we can book you in on the site plan while there are still places available. Obviously we would be grateful if you could provide information about the show to all your members.

We are asking everyone else to pay the admission price (indeed, I am paying it myself). This is extremely good value as advance tickets are much below even the normal cost of entry to the Park....never mind everything that the Show has to offer! All proceeds will go to the charities. Tickets in advance are ?9.50 (children and pensioners ?6) and are available from 01992 470490. If you want to take a bunch to sell to club members, we will be happy to give you one free one for every ten you sell.

I thought you might like to make this known to your members and add a link or something to the on-line petition.
It seems like this is just another thing in a list of attempts to grind bikers down. Some of the others being the cancellation of the Ink&Iron by the NEC the withdrawal of the Rock&Blues before an almost certain cancellation by the council, the cancellation of The Welsh Naional Motorcycle Show due at the end of this month (and probably the one due in August too) and the great possibilty of the Bulldog Bash being cancelled. Not to mention smaller biker dos that have also been cancelled due to the police''s statements that allowing these things to carry on as before would put the public in grave danger.

thanks for giving our club an invite to your rally 1 couldnt make it myself but from all acounts it was a really good weekend enjoyed by all ...the dates for our german party you have ,when you leave on sunday and if you are goin to amsterdam ,the campsite is called zeeland in amsterdam ...its has its own web page ...as you are aware we are not in european championships this year so the legionnaires with your help would like to challenge the lobos mc to a blindfolded 5 aside football match ...5 mins each way ... and as i am the ref we will win !!! once again thanks for a blinding weekend ...
